Mother's Day!

I had an amazing Mother's Day this year! I had actually played a rollerderby game in Akron, OH the night before, so Mother's day morning, we left Ohio at about 8:30am and I got home around 1pm. I came home to Aiden's smiling face in our front window.  What a doll! Andrew and Aiden gave me some amazing presents. Andrew gave me a necklace with a crown (as Aiden is my little prince and Andrew is my king...haha) And Aiden got me a Kodak Zi6, a portable video camera about the size of my phone! We had fun playing with that and I will try to upload the video of Aiden "saying hi to Grandma's cat". It is hilarious. So hopefully now that I can carry that around we can get more videos. My mom got me Tori Spelling's new book about being a mom, her last book was pretty good, so I am sure this will be too. My dad sent me some beautiful tulips that arrived on Friday....my cat Squirt has since made a meal of them and they are not as pretty as they should be...grrr!!! We had dinner at Applebee's even though Andrew fully tried to convince me that I really wanted Red Lobster (I am such a big seafood fan, right?) I know Applebee's is nothing fancy, but I LOVE the Oriental Chicken Salad and Andrew never wants to go to Applebee's, and it was my day to pick, right?! I came home, and went to bed early, as I still feel like I was ran over by a semi after the rollerderby game. I am so thankful for my family, I am the luckiest mom/wife in the world!!

Ok, so I can't figure out how to post the video correctly, but I will work on it and try again later....it is super funny! I also can't figure out why all the above text is highlighted....still learning this thing!!

OK, So I DID figure out one way to get the video show up, so here it is!!

My First Attempt at a Blog.....

Aiden, tulips, and a skeleton flamingo!
Aiden and the tulips

He was scared to walk in the grass at first!

Well, it all started when I reconnected with an old friend, Jenny (Dustman) Nielson and she showed me how to do this blog thing...so now that we have a new computer (again, thanks Jenny, for your recommendation on the Mac!) I thought we should try....

Here are some pictures I took of Aiden this week playing in the front yard with the pretty tulips and our skeleton flamingos....haha. The saying "April showers brings May flowers" really has meaning here in Michigan!!

And I realize I have some learning to do when it comes to this whole blog thing....like figuring out how to put the pictures at the bottom of the text instead of at the top, but it is a start!!
